Hello, This is Nayeem Hasan from Bangladesh. I'm a PhD Academic Researcher and Blogger.
I’ve officially started my PhD in Agricultural Economics at 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐡 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐁𝐀𝐔), funded by the Standing Panel on Impact Assessment (SPIA). My research is part of the 𝘔𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘐𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘛𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘯𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘺 𝘈𝘥𝘰𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘮 𝘌𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 (𝐌𝐈𝐗𝐓𝐀𝐏𝐄) project, in collaboration with 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆. Excited for this new academic journey ahead!
I've completed my both Bachelor (BSS) and Master of Social Science (MSS) degree in the Department of Economics at Pabna University of Science and Technology (PUST). As an economics student, I'm highly interested in research.

My PhD research is part of the 𝘔𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘐𝘮𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘛𝘦𝘤𝘩𝘯𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘨𝘺 𝘈𝘥𝘰𝘱𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘮 𝘌𝘯𝘨𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 (𝐌𝐈𝐗𝐓𝐀𝐏𝐄) project, in collaboration with 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆. My research explores the dynamics of improved crop and aquaculture technology adoption among smallholders in Bangladesh, focusing on their determinants, productivity, efficiency, and welfare impacts using nationally representative panel data. Agriculture and aquaculture are at the heart of rural livelihoods in Bangladesh. But even with new technologies available, many farmers struggle with poverty, fragmented farms, and climate risks. Adoption isn’t always a straight path—it changes over time, and so do the outcomes.
Worked as Joint Secretary in the Economics Association at the Department of Economics, Pabna University of Science and Technology from Feb 2022 to Feb 2024. Throughout this tenure, I have managed department activities, meetings, and events with great organization, communication, and responsibility, advancing the association's objectives and goals.
I am currently working as a Research Assistant in a research project entitled, “Assessing Farmers' Climate Change Vulnerability and Adaptation Strategy in Bangladesh,” under the supervision of Md. Nehal Hasnain, Lecturer, Department of Economics, Pabna University of Science and Technology, funded this project by the ‘Call for Research and Evaluation Committee’ in Pabna University of Science and Technology (FY: 2024-25).
I am currently pursuing my Master of Social Sciences (MSS) degree in Economics. While I recently completed my Bachelor of Social Sciences (BSS) with distinction. It's been a golden era of personal and intellectual growth. I found my soulmate, a partner who shares my passions and supports my aspirations. I faced moments of self-doubt and struggled to find my footing. Yet, through perseverance and the unwavering support of my mentors and wife, I emerged stronger and more resilient. Economics has become more than just a subject to me; it's an emotion, a lens through which I view the world.
I've completed my a level from here in 2016. I was in the Science Department. I came from a small village. When I came to college, the urban environment had a lot of influence on my mind. I'm very lucky that I get to know some great teachers from whom I get a lot of knowledge of reality. This is where I get the right direction for my future career.
My journey in education began with a strong foundation at Katgara High school, where I completed my O levels in 2014 with a science background. It was during those formative years that my curiosity and thirst for knowledge blossomed. I feel fortunate to have spent my childhood in such a nurturing environment. The support and encouragement I received during those years undoubtedly shaped my academic path and remain a cherished chapter in my educational journey.
